southwester storm here today...and that can only mean one thing

its time for the national championship cycling against the wind!

8.5 km into the wind along the delta works on a granny bike without gears and a pedal brake

they just had to stop it early tho...not because the cyclists couldnt make it but because the trucks used to ferry the aproved bikes back from the finish to the starting line for the next load of victims cant safely make it along the delta works anymore lol

I worked with some RNLAF Apache pilots recently. I think their variant of the Apache is pedal  powered.

We get the RNLAF visiting quite often where I live for training at RAF Spadeadam with their Apaches and SuperPumas . They are a great bunch as are the marines. The army guys though, wow, totally opposite.
